The Gates County Community Center was built in 1978 by a joint effort between the Gates County Board of Education and Gates County Board of Commissioners.  Since that time many changes have taken place.  A little over 3/4 of a million dollars renovations were completed in 2009 - funded by the Golden Leaf Foundation.  A grant received from the Roanoke-Chowan Foundation allowed the Center to establish a Wellness Center.

Participants may not be dropped off by parents.  Must be accompanied by an adult.

 

If any student or adult are caught "hanging out" and not involved in an activity scheduled by the Center then you will be loitering.  You will be ask to leave and then Law Enforcement may be called.
