• WELCOME TO 6TH GRADE MATH!  

    This is a transitional year into middle school math domains that will include ratios and rates, expressions and equations, number scene, geometry, and statistics. As we learn and grow together, I want your student to understand that math is like a life skill that you must practice daily. Just like life,  in math we make mistakes and we learn from them. In my classes, I want students to view mistakes as opportunities to learn and improve. We will work hard and have fun along the way in our endeavors to become the best learners we can be. Hello, 

My name is Melissa Bembry and I have been in education since 2012. I graduated from Elizabeth City State University in 2012 with my bachelors degree in Sociology. I later went to East Carolina University and completed my Teaching Certification in Middle Grades Education. I'm the proud mother of four boys and a loving wife. I have taught middle grade Social Studies, Math, and alternative school settings.
