Welcome to Ms. Dozier's Preschool Page.  Following is a description of Gates County's Preschool Program.

To increase a child’s readiness to learn, the Gates County Preschool Program provides quality educational experiences that are developmentally appropriate. The preschool program will enhance self-confidence, spontaneity, curiosity, and self-discipline. Our goals are to promote a positive self-image and individualism and to promote growth in the following development areas: Language, Cognition, Motor, Self-help, and Social-Emotional. Our programs are inclusive programs, which means that both typically developing children and children that face unique challenges are welcomed with open-arms. We follow the NC Pre-K Program's guidelines for placement and the Exceptional Children's Program's guidelines for placement when needed. A child has to be four years of age by August 31st of the current school year to be accepted in the NC Pre-K program. Three year old children are placed if developmental needs meet the criteria set forth by the Exceptional Children's Program.
