The mission of the Buckland Elementary library is
1) to collaborate with Buckland teachers and staff to provide
a)stimulating educational activities which reflect 21st Century skills in a nurturing and developmentally appropriate environment and b) an up to date non-fiction and fiction library collection which supports our student needs and interests and reflects the North Carolina Essential Skills and Standards in each curriculum area;
2) to produce students who love to read, who can think critically, who can collaborate with others, and who are information and technology literate;
3) to serve as a link to educational resources for our school community;
4) to maintain up to date hardware and software and to assist teachers and staff in using these.
