Dear Gatesville Elementary Parents and Guardians,
My name is Kristal M. Brooks, and I am honored to introduce myself as the new principal of Gatesville Elementary School. It is with great excitement and a deep commitment to the success of every student that I step into this new role.
I have been a proud member of the Gates County Schools family for over 24 years, most recently serving as the Assistant Principal at Gates County High School. My journey in education has been shaped by my belief that every person—whether a student, teacher, or staff member—deserves a champion. I am dedicated to fostering an environment where every child feels valued, supported, and motivated to reach their fullest potential.
On a personal note, I am originally from Connecticut but have called Gates County my home for many years. My husband, Lee "Moe" Brooks, and I are blessed with four wonderful children: Jay, Micah, Lauryn, and Trey. As both an educator and a parent, I understand the vital partnership between home and school, and I look forward to working closely with you to ensure that your child has the best possible educational experience.
I am eager to get to know you and your children, and I welcome any opportunity to meet and collaborate.
