    Child Nutrition

A Message from the Child Nutrition Director….

On behalf of the Gates County School Board of Education and my staff; we would like to take this opportunity to welcome you to the Department of Child Nutrition Homepage.

The Child Nutrition Program is led by a professional group of well qualified and trained personnel committed to serving healthy nutritious meals as set forth by the Re-Authorization Act of the National School Lunch Program (NSLP); in addition to the National School Breakfast Program (NSBP), Special Milk Program (SMP), After School Snack Program (ASSP), and the Seamless Summer Option Program (SSOP).

Our commitment and dedication is to the students, parents, faculty, and staff. Our chief objective is to provide every student with nutritious meals in conjunction with hospitable service in a clean environment.

Our primary mission is to excel far and beyond your expectations. We believe in giving every student wholesome nutritious meals everyday; to prepare them for learning, teach them how to make healthy food choices, and to promote life-long healthy living.

We look forward to learning more about the nutritional needs of our students; which we will diligently serve.
