I graduated from Hertford County High School.  I then obtained my bachelor's degree in Elementary Education, followed by a Masters in Library Science.  Both degrees are from East Carolina University.  My husband's name is Jacques and we have four daughters.  Belle is a Biology major at Chowan University.  Katie is in 9th grade, Shelby is in 8th grade, and Madison is in 6th grade.  We have two dogs, three cats, one fish, and one frog.  We love traveling together to see new places as well as visit old favorites.  

My favorite color is purple, my favorite food is pizza, and my favorite drink is Pepsi.  My favorite animal is a turtle.  I even had a pet turtle for 28 years.  She passed away around Christmas 2022.
