    “Trait of the Month”

     August            Citizenship: Living up to obligations in school, to society and community,   showing patriotism, and being involved.

     September      Honesty: A positive social character trait where you tell the truth. Truthfulness in what you do and say.

     October           Respect: Showing consideration for self, other people and their property, and authority.

     November       Responsibility: Being dependable, reliable in words and conduct, accountable for one’s actions.

     December       Fairness: Playing by the rules, taking turns sharing. Don’t take advantage of others and don’t blame others carelessly. Treat all people fairly.

     January          Caring: Having a sympathetic attitude toward others in need, with a desire to help.

     February        Manners: Used in everyday life so people can communicate without any problems. Make others want to be around you, because you are polite.

     March            Cooperation: The act of working together, getting along and functioning as a team. You can show cooperation by working with others for success.          

     April               Courage: Doing the right thing in the face of difficulty and following your conscience instead of the other students or your friend.

     May                Determined: Firmness of a purpose and the mindset to achieve a goal. It is a fixed intention or resolution to overcome any obstacles.

     June                We will end up by going over each month, summarizing how we have used each character trait and the importance of continuing to          

                             ROAR(Respectful, Orderly, Accountable and Responsible students).
